In the spring of 2005 we purchased a few acres of adjoining land from our neighbors to locate the studio.  We manged to save and move a small building that eventually became the studio after gutting and rebuilding it.  It might have been easier to start from scratch, but the end result was perfect.  Here are a few before and after photos, the  day of the move and the finished studio.   It's become a wonderful place in which to create and you just can't beat the commute!
